Small is Beautiful

We did it! We raised over £1123 for the Eden Valley Hospice from our Small is Beautiful exhibition. We sold 101 of the 158 paintings submitted to the exhibition and over 4000 hits for a full seven days on the website! The exhibition ran through the month of November and was our first exhibition to solely raise funds for a charity. It was so successful we may do it again in November 2021 for a different charity.

Margaret and Myself would like to say a big THANK YOU to those who participated from Ian Wells who photographed the paintings for the website, the retweets, shares and likes across Social Media and the Press. The biggest THANK YOU goes to the people who purchased a painting. The money we raised will help the staff at Eden Valley Hospice to care for their residents. Unfortunately, at the present time we cannot perform a handing over ceremony, but will, as soon as it is safe.

We have decided to keep you inspired throughout 2021 until the Annual Art Exhibition in August by showcasing some of the club's artists for 30 days. Three or four Penrith Art Club artists will showcase four of their paintings to be inspired by, these will be for sale via the artist if you wish to purchase.

We do hope that over the next few months we can keep inspiring you to pick up a pencil and create something. Perhaps follow us on Twitter (I occasionally pop on to Facebook) and share your creations with us.
