Gosh I know what you mean, I've been trying not to be so illustrative and detailed with black lines for awhile now and it is hard to stop! When did you first start to paint? In my twenties I used to go to life drawing classes which were held in a fabulous Georgian town house in Bath, they were just brilliant. Since moving to Cumbria I have been really lucky to have found a lovely life drawing group, “GoFigure”, who meet regularly to draw in a village hall near Keswick. It is amazing how everyone approaches the same subject in such different ways, it’s fascinating and a brilliant way to learn. I think, if I had to choose, this is actually my favourite type of arty thing to do. Thanks for the interview Julie, short and sweet as we were both short on time, but a nice little insight to your day as an artist.
