Plein Air with Jamie Oldham
Jamie grew up in Cumbria, taking his foundation course in Art and Design at Carlisle, moving down to the Bath area in 1993, taking a degree in Fine Arts. On graduation he was selected four times for exhibitions at the Mall Galleries in London, winning two Young Artist competitions in watercolours and oils. Jamie exhibited at significant galleries in London, Suffolk, Lincoln and Hampshire. He became a member of the Bath Society of Artists and is now a valued member of the Lakes Artists.
Jamie loves the work of the landscape artists Fred Cumming and Kurt Jackson and this is evident in his work, but his greatest influence (and greatest teacher) has been his late father Tom who was also a member of the Lakes Artists.
Jamie enjoys working in multiple media including acrylics, oils and cold wax and soft pastels.
